Baseball Scene | Interstellar

*Warning, Spoiler Alerts Below!*

If you saw Christopher Nolan’s film Interstellar, it probably left you with tons of unanswered questions. It left us with a bunch of questions as well.
Luckily, we can help answer a few of them.

For starters, “who made those sharp looking baseball uniforms?”

That one is easy: Sports Studio.

If you notice the pinstripes on those uniforms, you may spot the resemblance to a certain New York team.

Early on in the movie, Cooper takes his children to watch the all-American pastime. As the game goes on, an immense dust storm occurs, causing the game to end prematurely.

Now you’re probably wondering, “did they use different baseball uniforms at the end of the movie?”

Although roughly another 90 years passed in the movie since the first baseball scene, the wardrobe remains the same.

Now, you may ask “why?”

We like to believe that humanity is practicing sustainability on their new planet by recycling jerseys. Not only is it eco-friendly, it also gives their new home a sense of nostalgia, and that memories of Earth can still exist in their hearts, and on their sleeves, quite literally.
