In the latest Tide PODS campaign, Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles helps highlight that small and powerful are not mutually exclusive. Much like the tiny detergent pods, at 5’6’’, Sproles is a force to be reckoned with. He may not be the biggest player out there every Sunday, but he can certainly pack a punch.
Sports Studio worked closely with Saatchi & Saatchi and Kiss & Kill to provide the Philadelphia Eagles uniforms in this commercial. As an entertainment licensee of the NFL, we work with the league, brands like Nike, production, and the ad agency to make sure that, aside from the hyperbole in this ad, the Eagle’s practice looks and feels authentic.
For this particular ad, we custom manufactured the uniforms, taking them from style guide to official garments in time for the shoot. The helmets, shoulder pads, compression gear and cleats all came from our inventory of licensed NFL gear. We even supplied the coaches polos and caps. Operating in a very, very small niche at the intersection of sports and entertainment, we rent our uniforms, gear, and sports props to productions shooting sports scenes. And when the uniforms come back from set to be laundered, we really do use Tide detergent.
In addition to the wardrobe we sent, we also helped cast athlete extras in the scene. We host the nation’s largest database of athlete actors, and and can easily host casting calls with our athletes. We use a series of filters to scan through profiles based on the casting breakdown, and can also host casting calls and tours based on location.
If your production is filming a sports scene, whether on the field, in a tunnel, lounging in the locker room or hanging out at a tailgate, contact us about your inquiry by either giving us a call at (310) 559-3999 x 121 or shoot a note to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get back to you right away.
