Heisman House 2016 | Nissan

College football season has started and you know what that means…

The Heisman House commercials have returned for its 6th season. This year Nissan reached their 11th year of sponsorship of the Heisman Memorial Trophy Award and the Heisman Trophy Trust.

2015 Heisman Trophy winner and rookie running back for the Tennessee Titans, Derrick Henry, makes his debut at the Heisman House. He is spotted in 3 out of the 5 Nissan spots released thus far. A couple of the commercials playfully show the previous trophy winners including 2014 winner Marcus Mariota putting Henry in his place for being the newest member of the house.

Nissan got 14 past Heisman Trophy winners to play a part in this campaign, while showcasing 8 Nissan vehicles. The oldest player being Tony Dorsett who played at University of Pittsburgh and won the trophy in 1976.

Sports Studio worked with Tool of North America to provide the Heisman winners’ throwback jerseys featured throughout the entire Nissan and ESPN campaign. Some of these players include Derrick Henry, Doug Flutie, Charlie Ward, Eddie George, Danny Wuerffel, Tim Tebow, George Rogers, and Mark Ingram.
