It may be over 2,000 miles away, but Hollywood is coming to Atlanta. And even in the midst of a labor strike, we are bringing football back early.
With a green light from USA Network, Sports Studio is working to fill roles for their newest addition to the summer line-up, Necessary Roughness. The show, based on a true story, will chronicle the episodes of a therapist (Callie Thorne), who has the task of working with a pro football team. Here’s the trailer.
The script is calling for large amounts of sports action, which is where we come in. But where we come in, is also where you come in. That is, if you think you have what it takes.
Sports coordinator Mark Ellis (We are Marshall, Invincible, Miracle) will be on the ground in Atlanta to hold tryouts for football players to appear in the actual TV show. As in, you could be on TV this summer.
If you’re a male between the ages of 18 and 35 with extensive football experience, we want to meet you. On April 28th, 2011, we will be holding an open casting call in the Atlanta area. We are looking for players for all football positions, as well referees and coaches. In addition, we are also looking for basketball players of all positions to fill roles as well.
