We’re not quite sure what’s in the iconic Nickelodeon slime, but we are sure of one thing: that jersey is definitely going through the wash twice.
The first ever Kids’ Choice Sports Awards aired last week, where some of the biggest names in sports were in attendance. Marshawn Lynch, David Beckham, and Larry Fitzgerald are a few of the many professional athletes who were doused in the green Nickelodeon slime over the course of the program. Michael Strahan hosted the awards show and got his own taste of the Nickelodeon slime during his opening speech.
Normally we don’t mind seeing people covered in the strange, green liquid, but in this particular situation, Michael Strahan happened to be wearing a #92 NY Giants jersey supplied by Sports Studio. The wardrobe we supply to productions are rentals—supposed to be returned to our inventory of around one million sports products. Luckily, Nickelodeon has mastered the formula for their slime, and the green goo washed right out of the jersey.
In addition to Strahan’s jersey, Sports Studio added lettering to the uniforms worn by the Kids’ Choice Sports Cheer Squad and Pit Crew. We also supplied black hats worn by various people during the show. We worked with stylist Paula Elins and Done+Dusted production company on this project.
Sports Studio is Hollywood’s most versatile sports-entertainment company with licensing agreements with the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, and USSF. Outside of wardrobe, Sports Studio does casting, product placement, and even sports choreography, making us Hollywood’s one-stop shop for all your sports-entertainment needs.
Contact Sports Studio here for any and all of your sports-related requests. However, we hope that you do return the uniforms in the condition we supplied them in (looking at you Nickelodeon).
