Sweat—The Pièce de Résistance

“I’m sweating this final paper that’s due tomorrow.”

“Ew, this guy that asked me to dance was sweating through his shirt.”

“His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy~”

It’s rare to find the word “sweat” being put in a positive context. But, Gatorade knows how to work their magic.  The adage goes “No pain no gain;” a more positive alternative to this would be “Sweat it. Get it,” as the slogan of this commercial goes.

Athletes’ sweat is a sign of 2 things: their hard work and the need to refuel. This commercial persuades us to reconsider the connotations of “sweat,” and reminds us, through athletes like Leo Messi and Usain Bolt, that hard work pays off.

But we at Sports Studio never forgot that.

We work hard here. We don’t sweat the small stuff, and we will provide you with all the athletes, gear, sweat, and tears you need for your next big project. For this 30-second spot, we provided Gatorade with baseball shirts, a Puma tank, Barcelona uniforms, cleats, and Nike shoes—all sweat-free of course.

Just remember, if you’re sweating it, you’re getting it. But, also remember this—if you’re sweating it, you’re showering afterwards.
