Yes, you read the headline right, some of the best football players in the world wearing adult diapers. No, not because these tough guys need them. The three pro-bowlers are raising awareness for prostate cancer.
In conjunction with the Jimmy V foundation, Depends hired the Packers’ Clay Matthews, the Patriots’ Wes Welker and the Cowboys’ DeMarcus Ware for The Great American Try-On. Rather than try to explain why these NFL stars are wearing diapers, we will let them tell you.
If they will wear ’em, it should be good enough reason for you and I to try on a pair for the cause. If not for that, then at least for how good our custom uniforms look in the commercial.
And if you think the jerseys look good, we’re here to take the credit, well, most of the credit anyway. Our creative department worked with the production company to design these uniforms to look like the guys were practicing for the pro-bowl. Below is a sample mock-up that we ultimately used to manufacture the jerseys for the commercial.
In this case, we didn’t fabricate the jerseys from scratch. We altered existing garments, adding trim, numbers, lettering and stars cut from tackle twill to complete the look.
Not only did we deliver a quality product in a short time, we also sent our on set wardrobe consultant down to East LA College for the shoot to ensure that everyone was outfitted properly in their uniforms. As always, our on set wardrobe consultant did his job and did it well as you can see from the picture below.
If you look closely in the background, and we mean really closely, you may notice that we placed Xenith helmets on the sidelines. An innovator in helmets, Xenith is taking strides to educate athletes as well as protect them from concussions.
